Partille Cup is the world's largest and most international youth handball tournament and is one of Sweden's largest annual events. The tournament has been played since 1970 and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019. Each year around 1400 teams from 50 nations participate. Around 60 percent of the teams are from outside Sweden and there are more girls than boys playing. Since the start in 1970, 530000 participants have come to Gothenburg and every year not only new stars are born, but also many lifelong friendships are made.
